Daddy daughter date at Atomic Arcade

10 bucks worth of quarters. Over two hours of fun. Cheaper than a movie. Its of the utmost importance that we educate our young on humanities greatest accomplishments... like, Pac-Man.

Disney Infinity is finally revealed to the world!!!

So, the company I work for Disney revealed Infinity to the world at one o clock today.  Its the biggest trending thing on twitter... the web is all a buzz about it... It feels really good.  My brothers in arm and I have been crafting this thing for 3 years.  I'm lucky enough to be doing concept art for it and Art Directing the 3DS version.  It's all sooo cool!  It's all so super cool!    Here's the teaser trailer!!!  Wish us luck.

Introducing the Transformers Collectors Club Magazine's 2012 Profile Artist - Matthew Armstrong!

Fulfilling a childhood dream.

Tracks by little Matthew 1985                                      Tracks by big Matthew 2008

In 1984 when Transformers first came to the States it rocked my world.  My love for the robots in disguise was a huge part of me wanting to be an artist when I grew up... maybe even an artist that got to draw Transformers.  I can still remember my 3rd grade teacher getting on my case because I drew Transformers all the time.  "Draw something else!"  I can still hear her say.  I did draw other things but never stopped drawing Transformers.

Any way...

I was thrilled to get an email which led me to getting to draw a bunch of Transformers professionally.  It's weird and wonderful to see my name and art pop up on all my favorite Transformer websites.  Here's what the TFCC had to say:

We are excited to announce that Matthew Armstrong will be the artist behind the 2012 Transformers Collectors' Club Magazine MTMTE profiles! Matthew recently had his first solo children's book "Jane & Mizmo" reviewed by Publishers Weekly and the book itself will be available in book stores on Oct 1st.

We look forward to sharing Matthew's great art with everyone in the 2012 editions of the TCC magazine. But, why wait 4 more months for your first look? We have a preview for you today of one of the characters you will see featured next year in a MTMTE profile AND in the story "A Flash Forward"... G2 Flamefeather!

Click the story thumbnail for a expanded look and check out Matthew's Blog and art page, featuring all kinds of great art including some other Transformers, here!

So, I hope my fellow fans like my take on the Heroic Autobots and Evil Decepticons.

I'd like to thank Pete (the man) Sinclair for the opportunity.  Thanks Pete!

Till all are one!!!

You can see just about all my TFCC art in the TFCC section of the ART BOT page.

There are few who will understand how I feel right now.

My wiz Estariel paragon 23 was slaine today.  No, not in glorious combat agaist a pack of elites or one of the Prime Evils, but by a stupid lag and a single arcane sentry.

I love Diablo 3 Hardcore.  It's rad.  But in Hardcore if you die, your dead and that's it.

There I was having a blast.  I was playing it safe. No monster power.  Lots of VIT.  I'd found 2 oranges and a green in just a couple hours. The computer was running smoothly.  All was well.  Good times.

Then the screen kind shifted, all the graphics jumped, and the words YOU HAVE DIED appeared on the screen.

Killed by lag.  Killed by an arcane sentry, a little pink energy ball of death,  I couldn't even see.  So sad.

Sniff.  Sniff.

Now. I finally have a hero who can join my friends dead toons in Diablo 3 heaven.  In who's grand company I shall no longer feel ashamed.

Transformers Collectors' Club Profile Artist Matthew S. Armstrong

Hey!  That's me!

My art was featured in TFCC Magazine.  I made a Diaclone color version for my fellow Magnus fans out there.
The sketch version of Magnus had a little bit of a different pose.  I decided to add the Paladin Hammer from Animated later.  I'm happy to see the hammer continued in his Prime incarnation.  It makes Magnus more of his own bot, further defining him apart from his brother Optimus.
